Eye Doctor in Tonawanda
Dr. Madeline Bartels and the team at Vision Care Center offer patient-focused eye care with the ability to manage advanced-stage diseases in a friendly, caring, and comfortable environment.
Services Include
- Eye Exams – Routine eye exams are an essential part of maintaining your overall eye health. During your exam, I’ll check your vision, screen for eye diseases, and make sure your prescription is up to date. Even if you’re seeing clearly, it’s still important to come in regularly—we can catch early signs of conditions like glaucoma, macular degeneration, or diabetic eye disease before they affect your sight.
- Myopia Control – If your child’s nearsightedness (myopia) is getting worse each year, we can help slow its progression with customized myopia control treatments. Options like special contact lenses or prescription eye drops are safe and effective ways to protect your child’s long-term vision and reduce the risk of serious eye problems later in life.
- Contact Lenses – Whether you’re new to contact lenses or looking to update your prescription, I’ll help you find the right fit. We offer a full range of contact lens options—including daily, monthly, and specialty lenses—to ensure you’re comfortable and seeing clearly. I’ll work with you to find lenses that fit your eyes and your lifestyle.
- Optical Shop – Our in-house optical shop offers a great selection of stylish frames and high-quality lenses. After your eye exam, our team can help you choose glasses that not only improve your vision but also complement your face and personal style. We’re here to make sure you leave with eyewear that fits great and feels even better.
- Glaucoma Management – Glaucoma is often called the “silent thief of sight” because it can develop without symptoms. If you’ve been diagnosed with glaucoma or are at risk, I’ll work closely with you to monitor your eye pressure, track any changes, and create a personalized treatment plan to help protect your vision for the long term.
- Keratoconus Contacts – For patients with keratoconus, traditional glasses and soft lenses may not provide clear vision. I specialize in fitting custom contact lenses—including scleral lenses—that are designed to correct vision more effectively for this condition. These advanced lenses offer improved comfort and clarity, helping you see your best every day.
